Virginia Justus Moody

Virginia Justus Moody, 84, of Rome formally of Gainesville, passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Redmond Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Terry Jones, Reverend Wendell Stover and Reverend Susan Maddox will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 22, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Moody was born on January 10, 1931 in Rabun County to the late Delmus A. and Rachel O’Dell Justus. She was retired from Frierson McEver Men’s Clothing and attended Chicopee Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Dorothy Justus Martin, brother, Charlie A. Justus, sister, Zenoba Justus Jones.

Mrs. Moody is survived by her daughter, Revonda Moody of Wilmington, DE; daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Russ Collett of Rome, GA; grandson and wife, Sean and Brooke Collett of Evans, GA; grandson and wife, Brett and Rachel Collett of Lilburn, GA; 5 great grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Christie and Ralph Smith of Gainesville; sister-in-law, Nelle Justus of Gainesville. A special thanks to those who offered their loving care to Virginia, Dotty Gabrels, Ena Grant, Wayne and Patty Gee.
