Mary Nell Kellar Simmons

Mrs. Mary Nell Kellar Simmons, age 76 of 378 Simmons Road, Toccoa, Georgia passed away Thursday, May 21, 2015 at her residence.

A daughter of the late Jimmie Christopher and Magnetta Brown Kellar, she was born March 19, 1939 in Stephens County, Georgia where she lived most of her life. She worked along with her husband, Joe in the family business, J & M Repair. She was a member of Zebulon Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Joel Simmons of the home; five sons and daughters-in-law all of Toccoa, Christopher and Maca Simmons, Kenneth and Barbara Watkins, Sammy and Susan Watkins, Jr. and Lisa Watkins and Marvin and Ginger Roach; sixteen grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Willard Yearwood, Sarah and Donald Payne and Joann and William Payne all of Toccoa; sister-in-law, June Kellar of Travelers Rest, South Carolina.

Graveside services will be Sunday, May 24, 2 O’clock PM at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery with The Reverend Greg Austin officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Josh Roach, Emmet Montney, Craig Simmons, Chad Watkins, Tracy Watkins and David Simmons.

The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Friday, 6 PM to 8 PM and on Saturday, 2 PM to 4 PM and 6 PM to 8 PM.

Interment will be in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Mary Nell Kellar Simmons.
