Margaret R. 'Peggy' Davis

Margaret R. “Peggy” Davis, 79, of Dawsonville, GA passed away Monday May 18, 2015 at her residence following an extended illness.

Born to the late John and Mary Rose and raised in Durham, NC, Mrs. Davis had been a resident of Dawsonville for the past 10 years.  She graduated from Durham High School in 1952 and attended UNCG.  An actress since childhood, she appeared in movies throughout her life alongside many notable Hollywood names.  A dedicated and loving wife, mother and grandmother, she was of Methodist faith.  She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Lynn Davis Cramer, and sister, Lucille Rose Honeycutt.

Surviving are her husband of 59 years, James E. “Jim” Davis, M.D., Dawsonville; daughters and son in law, Patricia A. Herpel, Carrollton, GA, Kelley and Brian Anglin, Cumming; son, James E. Davis, Jr.; grandchildren, Margaret April Hardy, Charles Clinton Hardy; a number of other relatives.

Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
