Linda Lou Akins

Linda Lou Akins, age 70, of Homer, GA passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2015.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Clay and Beulah Frady Akins.  She is survived by her companion of thirty years, Steve Martin, Homer, GA; children, Bernice and Roger Holtzclaw, Toccoa, GA, Mark and Tami Holtzclaw, Lula, GA, and Chris Holtzclaw, Toccoa, GA; grandchildren, Amanda and Dallas Hardy, Lula, GA, Mark and Renee Holtzclaw, Lula, GA, and Brenda Beck, Homer, GA; eight great grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Patsy and Al Corum, Cumming, GA, and Nancy Akins Sutton, Lawrenceville, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Danny and Rachel Akins, Cumming, GA, and Donny and Peggy Akins, Cumming, GA; several nieces, nephews and cousins.  Ms. Akins was born August 31, 1944 in Alpharetta, GA.  She had worked for Nyloplast for twelve years.  She was of the Baptist faith. 

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Frady, Rev. Kenneth Pilcher, and Rev. Keith Martin officiating.  Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens, Buford, GA.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
