George Christ

Mr. George Christ, age 89 of 221 Rosedale, Toccoa, Georgia passed away Friday, April 24, 2015 at his residence. 

A son of the late Henry E. and Kathryn Cody Christ, he was born April 13, 1926 in Key West, Florida having lived in Florida most of his life and the last two and a half years in Toccoa.  He was a U.S. Navy World War II Veteran. He was a maintenance supervisor with Anheuser-Busch Company and was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Estelle Lee Christ; son and daughter-in-law, Alan and DeLisa Christ of Toccoa; three grandchildren, Gregory Christ, Lacy (husband Seth Meisel) and Haleigh Christ; sister, Rosella Cover of Seaford, Delaware.

Funeral services will be Friday, May 22, 2015, 11 O’clock in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Very Reverend Mary Demmler officiating. The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home 90 S. Pond St., on Friday from 10 AM until the service time. 

Entombment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Jacksonville, Florida.
