Wesley Kyle Teate, age 16, of 79 Julian Westmoreland Drive, Martin, GA, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2015, at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta.
A son of David Teate and Sara Standridge Lowery, he was born March 25, 1999 in Stephens County where he lived all of his life. Wesley was a 10th grade student at Stephens County High School and was a part-time employee with Wal-Mart. He was also a member of Tom’s Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include his parents, David Teate of Martin, and Sara and Wayne Lowery of Martin; his grandparents, John and Joan Standridge, and Albert Teate, all of Martin; a step-sister, Jessica Lowery of Martin; two step-brothers, Brett Lowery of Carnesville, and Andrew and Megan Lowery of Westminster, SC; and an aunt, Faye Standridge of Martin.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 19th, at 2 O’clock PM in the Hillcrest Chapel of Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Wayne Marcus and The Reverend Roger Loggins officiating. Gentlemen serving as pallbearers will be Austin King, Kale Gettys, Seth Devault, Jeff Mock, Dylan Mitchell, and Chris Bennett.
The family will be at the home of his mother and step-father, 79 Julian Westmoreland Drive in Martin, and at the home of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Standridge, 211 Crawford Drive in Martin. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6 PM until 8 PM.
Interment will be in Unity Baptist Church Cemetery in Westminster, SC, with Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Wesley Teate.
