Howard Clifton 'Cliff' Bruce Jr

Howard Clifton “Cliff” Bruce Jr., age 55 of Lula, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2015 at his residence.

Mr. Bruce was born October 26, 1959 in Kennesaw to Howard Clifton Bruce Sr. and the late Julie Faye Bruce. He was of the Baptist Faith and was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Ruthlene Savage.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Savage Bruce; son Earl Clifton Bruce, both of Lula; daughter and son-in-law, Charla and Austin Burger, Murrayville; father, Howard Clifton Bruce Sr.; step-son and wife, Chris and Cindy Border, Cleveland; grandchildren, Kaylee Border, Alyssa Burger, Michael Burger, Abigail Burger, Jenna Reeves; brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Vera Bruce; Gainesville; sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Rev. Michael McIntyre, Clermont; father-in-law, Rev. J.R. Savage, Lula; sister-in-law, Roma Reeves, Lula; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Diane and Wayne King, Lula; several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give a special thanks to their loving friend Larry Cochran.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 PM Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Holly Springs Baptist Church. The Rev. Josh Chatham, the Rev. Kyle Savage and the Rev. Michael McIntyre will officiate. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery with the Rev. Ricky Jones officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Friday at the funeral home.
