Willonel Martin Goss

Willonel Martin Goss, age 94, of Oakwood passed away peacefully following a period of declining health on Wednesday, May 13, 2015. Mrs. Goss was born on March 27, 1921, on Easter Sunday to the late John Edgar Martin and the late Hattie Mae Lathem Martin in Hall County.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, William Grover Goss Sr., her brothers, Leroy Martin and John Martin, her sister Belle Cash and her son-in-law Jimmy Ramey.

She was a homemaker who loved her family. She worked on their chicken farm and tended to livestock and a large garden for many years. Until the last few months she rarely missed her weekly beauty salon appointments. She loved the Lord and she and her husband were active in their church and Sunday school class for many years. She had many family and friends and was loved by all who knew her.

She is survived by her children Bill Goss (daughter-in-law Becky Goss) of Oakwood, GA, daughter, Sue Ramey of Flowery Branch, GA, brother Ben Martin of Oakwood, GA, sister-in-law Mary Martin of Oakwood, GA, grandchildren Donna Millwood and husband John Millwood of Gainesville, GA, Hank Ramey and wife Casey Ramey of Hoschton, GA, and William Goss and wife Amy Goss of Flowery Branch, GA; great-grandchildren, Jordan Millwood of Gainesville, GA, Parker Ramey of Hoschton, GA, Jackson Ramey of Hoschton, GA, Emma Goss of Flowery Branch, GA, Ben Goss of Flowery Branch, GA and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 15, 2015 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home at 3:00 PM with the Reverend Paul Wade officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood City Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 14, 2015 from 5-8pm at the funeral home.
