Ethel Campbell Ragan

Heavens gates swung open wide as Mrs. Ethel Campbell Ragan age 94 of Cleveland went home to be with her Heavenly Father and her husband of 54 years the late Rev. Harry Ragan. Mrs. Ragan passed away Wednesday May 6, 2015 at the home of her grandchildren following a brief illness. 

She was born on September 25, 1920 in White County Georgia to the late James H. 
and Annah Carroll Campbell . Mrs. Ragan was of the Baptist faith. Although a 
homemaker and retiree of Talon Manufacturing in Cleveland, she will best be 
remembered for devotion to her husband’s ministry of 55 years with a heart for 
the gospel of Christ as he pastored Baptist churches in White, Lumpkin & Hall 
counties. Many couples will tell you they were married in her living room. She 
loved her Shoal Creek Baptist Church family and was its oldest member. 

She is survived by her daughter Mrs. Joyce Robinson (Sam) of Clarkesville Ga., 
Granddaughters Annah Robinson (Dan Hayes) of Tallulah Falls Ga., Susan Mann (Rev. Kendall Mann ) Clarkesville Ga; Great Grandchildren, Alice Harris, Katelan Harris –Knight (Jonathan),  Lauren Mann, Andrew Harris , Jacob Mann, Lydia Mann; Great-Great Granddaughters, Charity Grace, Constance Faith & Ragan Hope; special friend, Victoria Webb; beloved niece, Robin Campbell. Mrs. Ragan is also survived by Brother In Laws, Jesse D Ragan Gainesville, Rev Sam & Mrs. (Lucy) Ragan Cornelia and sister in law Mrs. Joann Ragan, Pendergrass Ga. as well as many special nieces and nephews. 

She was the youngest and last living member of her family. 

She is preceded in death by brothers, Dan (Martha) Campbell, William (Sis) Campbell, Clifford (Mildred) Campbell, Fred (Mary) Campbell, Ray (Clara) Campbell, Hope (Inez) Campbell; Brothers-in-law and Sisters-in-law, Ninnie Ragan Langford (Hoyt), Robert (Fannie Bell) Ragan, Lester (Helen) Ragan, Otis Ragan (Ophelia), Mrs. Jesse Ragan. 

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Shoal Creek Baptist Church.  Pastor Kendall Mann, Dr. Joe Vernon, and Rev. Doug Merck will officiate.  Grandson, Jacob Mann and the Shoal Creek Baptist Church Choir will be singing. 

The family will receive friends from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM Friday at the funeral home.
