Harold Ray Fortner

Mr. Harold Ray Fortner, age 79 of Gainesville, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2015 at Bell Minor Home following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Chaplain Bob Fiedler will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 from 6 - 8 pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Fortner was born July 20, 1935 in Fulton, Kentucky to the late Ed Fortner and Stella Langford Fortner.  He served in the U. S. Air Force and was retired from Peachtree Doors.  Harold was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, William David Fortner, James Fortner and Charles L. Fortner.

Mr. Fortner is survived by his wife of 60 years, Bernice Hughes Fortner of Gainesville, his brother, Eddie Fortner of Yuma, Arizona and his sister, Carolyn Mills of Woodstock, Georgia.
