Charles Massey

Charles Benson Massey, Jr. of Gainesville passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at Haven Hospice in Lake City Florida following an extended illness.

 Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 4pm at the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Earl Pirkle will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 3, 2015 at 3 pm prior to the service.

 Mr. Massey was born on March 29, 1967 in Gainesville, Georgia to Charles B. Massey, Sr. and Lou Ella Cantrell. Mr. Massey worked in heavy equipment and was of Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his wife; Mary Ann White Massey, his father Charles B. Massey, Sr., step-father Larry Cantrell, grandfather and grandmother Elbert and Lula Woody, grandfather and grandmother Clyde and Janet Massey.

Mr. Massey is survived by his mother, Lou Ella Cantrell of Gainesville, Georgia; his son C.J. Massey of Gainesville, Georgia, his sister and brother-in-law Kellie McCoy (John) of Lula, Georgia, brother-in-law Edward Dover of Gainesville, Georgia, 3 nephews, Freddy Standridge, Neal Standridge of Gillsville, Georgia and Chance Dover of Gainesville, Georgia, neice MacKenzie Perdue of Lumpkin County and mother and father-in-law Marvin and Carolyn Dover of Gainesville, Georgia.
