William Wylder Nichols, 20, of Lakemont, GA, passed away April 29, 2015 in Houston County, GA.
He was born in Macon, Georgia, and was the son of Maurice Edwin Nichols and Susan Richardson Nichols. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Merle Nichols and his maternal grandfather, Bill Richardson. He is survived by his parents and one brother, Trevor Eli Nichols; his paternal grandfather, Joe Nichols of Ideal, GA and his maternal grandmother, Beth Richardson of Steinhatchee, FL.
Wylder graduated from Rabun Gap Nacoochee School and was a junior at Georgia Southern University. He was employed by Clean Control Corporation in Warner Robins, GA. He attended Clayton 1st United Methodist Church. He was a long time member of the Boy Scouts of America, achieving the rank of Eagle Scout. He was also a member of the Order of the Arrow, the BSA National Honor Society, and he was recently elected as a Vigil Honor Candidate for the Order of the Arrow. He was a member of the LARP Community of Greater Atlanta and a member of GA Southern eSports Association. In addition to scouting and LARPing, Wylder enjoyed reading, playing Ultimate Frisbee, soccer, computer gaming and having fun with his many friends.
His family will receive friends at Beck Funeral Home from 3 PM to 6 PM, Saturday, May 2, 2015. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3 PM, Sunday, May 3, 2015 at the Rabun Gap Nacoochee School Rearden Theater with Rev. Chuck Stutsman, Rev. Brandon Nichols and Rev. Jeremy Noffsinger officiating.
Burial will take place at 4 PM, Monday, May 4, 2015 at Bluewater Baptist Church Cemetery 2664 Hwy 441 South, Dublin, GA 31021 with Rev. Brandon Nichols officiating.
