Annie Sue 'Nana' Lance Jones

Annie Sue “Nana” Lance Jones, 73, of Gainesville passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at The Oaks following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Ricky Stone and Reverend Harrison Bradley will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 1, 2015 from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Jones was born on September 8, 1941 in Blairsville to the late Homer and Frankie Wimpy Lance. She was a babysitter and a member of Yellow Creek Baptist Church. She was known by her family and friends as Nana and was a loving mother, grandmother and sister. Nana loved watching her grandchildren play their favorite sports and she was their favorite fan.  She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, James Jones.

Mrs. Jones is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Billy Yeary of Dahlonega; daughter, Vicki Copeland of Gainesville; grandsons, Tyler Radford and Lance Copeland; granddaughter, Katelyn Copeland; brother, Jerry Lance of Blairsville also  sister-in-laws,  brother-in-law and a number of nieces and nephews.
