Gilbert T. Jones

Gilbert T. Jones, age 78, of Colbert, GA, formerly of Flowery Branch, GA passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2015.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. T. W. and Areatha Jones; and brothers, Thomas Jones and Beecher Jones.  He is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Jane Dyer Jones; son and daughter-in-law, Bert and Vickie Jones, Comer, GA, and daughter, Patti Jones, Colbert, GA; grandchildren, Brandy Jones, Colbert, GA, Jewels Jones, Comer, GA, and Barbe Jones, Comer, GA; sisters and brother-in-law, Laverne and Franklin Harwell, Winder, GA, and Areatha Keesey, Flowery Branch, GA; sister-in-law, Mary D. Jones, Colbert, GA; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Jones was born January 19, 1937 in Chamblee, GA.  He was a 1955 graduate of Chamblee High School and a graduate of Woodrow Wilson School of Law where he received his law degree.  He was a retired businessman and farmer.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Flowery Branch.  Mr. Jones has been cremated and requested no memorial service.  His request in lieu of flowers was for you to go and enjoy a steak dinner and think of him.  Any remembrance cards or sympathy notes in memory of Gilbert Jones may be mailed to his home in Colbert, GA.  “God Bless and Good Luck.”
