Betty Sue Simonds Parker

Mrs. Betty Sue Simonds Parker, age 68, of Gainesville, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2015 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Reverend Clack Stubbs will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Monday, April 27, 2015 from 6 - 8 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Parker was born October 2, 1946 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Paul Simonds and Bennie Bruce Simonds.  She was retired from Siemens Automotive and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.  Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jimmy Parker, her brother, David Simonds, her sister, Eloise Rector and brother-in-law, Robert Davis

Mrs. Parker is survived by her son, Darrell Parker of Talmo, her daughter & son-in-law, Angela & Stephen Mothershed of Gainesville, grandson, Josh Lewis of Gainesville, granddaughters, Katelyn Cain of Gainesville, Karlee Mothershed of Gainesville, McKinley Mothershed of Gainesville, Chelsea Hobson of Braselton and Cali Abercrombie of Braselton, great-grandsons, Jace Lewis, Easton Lewis and Dawson Cain, all of Gainesville, sister, Mavis Davis of Toccoa, brother & sister-in-law, Bobby & Shirley Simonds of Toccoa, sister-in-law, Mary Lou Simonds of Braselton and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
