Hallie Mae Chambers Warwick, age 98 of Cleveland passed away on Monday, April 27, 2015.
Ms. Warwick was born in Habersham County on June 10, 1916 to the late Jim and Minnie Chambers Skelton. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Terrell Warwick; daughters, Joice Westmoreland and Barbara Sue Warwick (infant); brothers, Emory Chambers, Delmer Chambers, John Henry Chambers and Carl Chambers; sister, Grace Darnell; granddaughter, Torie Hallene Warwick.
A loving Mother to sons: John Dwight (Patricia) Warwick and Hugh (Betty) Warwick, of Cleveland. A precious Granny to: grandchildren, Leslie (Scott) Slaton, Baldwin, Paul (Rachel) Warwick, Cleveland, Millie (Javier)Arana, Flowery Branch, Kurt (Allyson) Westmoreland, Cleveland, KaRon Westmoreland, Atlanta; Thirteen Great Grandchildren; Great Granddaughter, Ashley Warwick (of the home): sisters: Jimmie (Jimmy) Jenkins, Clarkesville, Renora Halford, Demorest, Lois Hogan, Cleveland, Betty Caudell, Cleveland; brother, Clyde (Ruthleen) Chambers, Cleveland; sisters-in-law, Annette Chambers, Demorest, Annie Chambers, Cleveland, Frances Lewallen, Baldwin, Rachel Warwick, Charlotte, North Carolina; numerous nieces and nephews; special caregiver, Haley Free.
Hallie and Terrell enjoyed a long 73 year marriage. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Hallie loved attending church at Union Grove CH Church where she was a member and served in the past as a Sunday School Teacher and Church Secretary. As a hard working famer’s wife, Hallie loved working outdoors in her flowers and garden. She was known for the beautiful flower arrangements and the many handcrafts she created. Later working and retiring from Ames Textile.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at Union Grove Congregational Holiness Church. The Rev. Paul Flynn, the Rev. Gary Heffner, and the Rev. Ronald Motes will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
