Sandra Cornelius

Mrs. Sandra Cornelius age 71 of Flowery Branch passed away on Sunday April 12, 2015 at her residence following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday April 15, 2015 at 3:00pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Gary Osteen will officiate. The family will receive friends on Tuesday April 14 from 12-9 and on Wednesday from 9-3 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Cornelius was born on July 25, 1943 in Beaver County, Penn to Ella Jean McCarl Matheny and the late David Matheny. Mrs. Cornelius had been employed with the City of Gainesville Water Dept. and also Hall County Sheriff Office in the records dept.  She was a member of Oakwood Gospel Tabernacle. Mrs. Cornelius is preceded in death by her father and her husband, Chuck Cornelius.

Mrs. Cornelius is survived by her mother Ella Jean McCarl Matheny,  daughter and son-in-laws, Patty Garrett (Terry) of Cumming, GA. Linda Liles (Dan) of Cleveland, Jeannie Landanyi (Joel) of Pendergrass. Sister and brother-in-law Jean Ann Greco (Bob) of Rock Hill, S.C. Sister Karen Fredericks, Brother and sister-in-law David Matheny (Donna) and Bruce Matheny (Kim), 9 Grandchildren.
