Mary L. (Daniels) D'Orazio

Mary L. (Daniels) D'Orazio passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2015 in Cumming, GA., surrounded by her family, after a short illness, at the age of 86.

Mary was born in Milford, Massachusetts on April 19, 1928 to the late Agnes (Walsh) and George Daniels.  She was preceded in death, by her brother George, and infant sister, Elizabeth.  She resided in Hopedale, MA and worked for Draper Corporation for many years.  She married Alfred (Fred) D'Orazio of Franklin, MA on May 5, 1951 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hopedale, MA. They resided in Franklin, MA until 1968 before moving to Miami.  They later moved to Sunrise and Vero Beach, FL.  In 2009, they moved to Cumming, GA and resided with her daughter, Jeanne and husband Jim Curry.  Mary embraced her new life in Cumming, meeting new friends, and enjoyed their involvement with VFW Post 9143.


She is survived by the love of her life, Fred and they anticipated celebrating their 64th wedding anniversary next month.  Other survivors include children, Jeanne Curry and husband Jim, of Cumming, GA, Paul D'Orazio of Milford, MA, Robert D'Orazio and wife Isabel of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, and Patricia D'Orazio (Seaman) of Wilmington, NC.  Beloved grandchildren, Gina Williams and husband Paul, of Green Cove Springs, FL,  Paul D'Orazio, Jr of Gainesville, FL, Melissa and brother Michael Curry of Miami, FL, Kristin and brother Tyler Seaman of Wilmington, NC, Jacob, Ricky, and Rebecca Ruiz of California.  Great-grandmother to Jacob, Alexis, and Joey of Green Cove Springs, FL, and Jayden of Miami, FL.  Predeceased by twins, Dylan and Daniel of Florida. Mary is also is survived by eleven nieces and nephews all originally from Massachusetts, and predeceased by Godson, Peter D'Orazio.

Mary loved her family and spending time with them. She was an avid traveler and loved taking trips while Fred was employed by Eastern Airlines.  She loved visiting new places and meeting new friends.  She adored her granddog Lexi who enjoyed sitting with her Meme.

 

We would like to thank the following for their excellent guidance and care received; The Legacy Link, ResCare, Amedisys, and Forsyth Northside ICU staff for all their care during this process, as well as Embracing Care Center, in Cumming.

Visitation will be at Ingram Funeral Home, 210 Ingram Ave, Cumming, GA on Saturday, April 11th from 4:00-7:00pm.  A Celebration of Life will be on Sunday, April 12th at 4:00pm at Ingram Funeral Home.

 

Burial will be Tuesday, April 14th, 2015 at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.  Procession leaving Ingram’s at 12:45pm.
