Phenie Ashe

Funeral services for Phenie Addie Sims Ashe, age 98, of San Antonio, TX and formerly of Clarkesville, will be held on Sunday, April 12, 2015 at 2:00 PM from the Hillside Memorial Chapel with Rev. Tommy Stowe officiating.  Interment will follow the service in Bethlehem Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday prior to the service from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. 

Mrs. Ashe passed away Saturday, April 4, 2015 in San Antonio, TX. 

Born in Hiawassee on December 6, 1916, Mrs. Ashe was the daughter of the late Hampton and Lucy Burrell Sims.  Retired from North Georgia Technical College, where she worked in the administration office, Mrs. Ashe was also the oldest living member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ashe is preceded in death by her husband Earl Ashe, three brothers, and two sisters. 

Mrs. Ashe is survived by her daughter and son in law Brenda and Michael Anchors of San Antonio, TX, grandchildren Shawn Anchors and Stephanie Tourles, and great grandchildren Joshua and Caleb Anchors.
