James V. Grindle, age 77, of Gainesville, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2015. James loved his church, Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, was a member of Mt. Zion Lodge #316 F&M and worked in commercial construction for over 35 years. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather to his family, who loved to laugh and make others laugh. He also enjoyed woodworking, hiking and spending time outdoors.
James is survived by his loving wife , Lillian Waldrip Grindle of Gainesville; children, Tammy Grindle Rowland of Woodstock, Lori Grindle (Reg) Martin of Gainesville, Kevin Brian Grindle (Amanda Grogan) of Cumming; sister and brother-in-law, Shryl Grindle (Kenneth) Holtzclaw; grandchildren, Adam Nix Martin, Justin Brian Martin, James Brady Grindle, Matison Eliza Grindle; nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Wilkie, Rev. Scott Sorrells and Rev. Jimmy Hogan officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday, from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service.
