Laura Bell Abercrombie Honeycutt

Laura Bell Abercrombie Honeycutt, age 94, of Murrayville and Atlanta, GA passed away Friday, March 27, 2015, surrounded by her family and friends.
 
Mrs. Honeycutt grew up in Murrayville, GA and lived most of her life in Atlanta. She was a member of Roswell Street Baptist Church in Marietta, GA and worked as a sales associate at Macy's/Davison's Downtown Atlanta. She loved to sing and she sang with her sisters as a young girl in Murrayville, in church and on the radio. She was a giving person and enjoyed helping and giving to people she came to know.
 
Laura Bell was the daughter of the late Floyd and Elizabeth Abercrombie of Murrayville. She was also preceded in death by her husband Eugene Honeycutt, infant daughter, Patricia Ann Walker, and grandson, James Dee McDearis.
 
She is survived by her daughter, Jean Walker Brown of Lilburn, GA, her son, Leonard James Walker, Jr. (Jimmy) of Cumming, GA, her daughter Judy Walker McDearis and son-in-law, Bill McDearis of Gainesville, GA, and her daughter, Carol Walker Willbanks and son-in-law, Terry Willbanks of Gainesville, Ga, her Grandchildren, Glenn Donehoo, Anne Donehoo Lamb, Noele Hodges Miller, Christopher Walker, Jonathan Walker, Daren McDearis, Michael McDearis, Angela Grubbs Schmidt, Stephanie Grubbs Zacker, Steven Grubbs, Jr., 19 Great Grandchildren, and 8 Great Great Grandchildren, and her sister, Mattie Lou Abercrombie of Atlanta, GA.
 
A Memorial Service at Alta Vista Cemetery in Gainesville, GA will be scheduled at a later date.
 
Laura Bell's family would like to thank Sonshine Manor Personal Care Home in Dahlonega, GA for their love and kindness in caring for her. Thank you Sarah and Amanda and everyone we came to know and love there. The caregivers at Sonshine Manor have a special God given ability to love and care for their residents. Thank you also to Homestead Hospice who helped care for Laura Bell in her last days and offered so much support to our family at the time of her passing.
