Fred North Poole

Fred North Poole, 93, of Cumming, GA died at Peachtree Christian Hospice on March 30, 2015. Born in Savannah, GA he was the son of the late Fred and Minnie Poole. His son, Fredrick Poole and son-in-law, Grady Lewis also predeceased him.

Fred served in the Army Air Corps during World War II and retired from Haverty's Furniture Company. He was an active member of Cumming Baptist Church.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Doris Poole of Cumming, GA; sons, Robert (Kathy) Poole of Loganville, GA, John (Nancy) Poole of Loganville, GA, Bill (Marcia) Poole of Port Orange, FL; daughters, Barbara (Shelton) Hill of Peachtree City, GA and Joy Lewis of Vidalia, GA; much-loved grandchildren, Michael Poole, Spencer Poole, Stephanie Poole, Shanon Poole, Pamela Fountain, Shayna Abbas, Meagan Hill, Mandy Smith and Bray Hill; 5 great- grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 pm on Thursday, April 2, 2015 in the chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home. The Rev. Dr. Barry Crocker will officiate. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta, GA. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 1 from 5:30
