Nancy Lucy Timms

Mrs. Nancy Lucy Timms, age 75, of Dahlonega, GA passed away Monday, March 30, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Nancy was born in Duluth, GA December 30, 1939. She had lived in Dahlonega for several years and was a former resident of Alpharetta, GA. She worked in the medical supply field for many years. Nancy was a member of Concord Baptist Church in Duluth, GA.

Mrs. Timms was the daughter of the late Dillard Roland and Ella Nora Waits Roland and was also preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Jackie Timms; daughters, Janet Elaine Timms and Teresa Diane Poss; brothers, Everett and Norris Roland; and sister, Doris Smith.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Carol and David Askew, Dahlonega, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Jackie Timms, Cleveland, GA, Anthony and Charlotte Timms, Covington, GA, Ricky and Connie Timms, Dahlonega, GA; sisters, Martha Rush, Woodstock, GA, Elizabeth Gillard, Duluth, GA, and Cathy Gayton, Dawsonville, GA; brothers, Stevie Roland, Buford, GA, and Travis Roland, Gainesville, GA. 22 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and a large number of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Timms are scheduled for 11 AM Thursday April 2, 2015 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega, GA.

Rev. David Askew and Rev. Stan Bafile will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Warsaw Cemetery in Fulton County, GA.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega, GA on Wednesday April 1, 2015 from 12 Noon until 9 PM and again on Thursday from 9 AM until 11 AM.
