Arvil Arwood Cabe

Arvil Arwood Cabe, 84, of Rabun Gap, GA, passed away at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC on Monday, March 30, 2015.



He was born in Otto, NC and was the son of Lenzy Lester Cabe and Mary Ledford Cabe. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Russell Cabe, Elvin Cabe, and Nelson Cabe, and one sister, Jane C. Speed.



Mr. Cabe is survived by his loving wife, Betty Norton Cabe; and one daughter, Dawn C. Ledford and her husband, Jim of Otto, NC. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Ben Ledford and wife Kimberly and Jacob Ledford and wife Nicole; and three great-grandchildren, Hannah, Macie, and Emmett.



He was retired from Burlington Industries and was a member of Head of Tennessee Baptist Church. Mr. Cabe enjoyed raising cattle, working in the hay field and picking peaches every year.



The family will receive friends from 6 PM to 8 PM, Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at Beck Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Thursday, April 2, 2015 in the Beck Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Alton Dendy and Rev. Allan Pierce officiating. Burial will follow in the Head of Tennessee Baptist Church Cemetery.



Memorial donations in Arvil Cabe's memory may be made to a charity of choice.
