Dorothy Charlotte Guffey

Dorothy Charlotte Guffey, 87, of Cumming, Georgia passed away Sunday, March 29, 2015 at Embracing Hospice, Cumming, GA. She was born in Ionia, Michigan, on February 6, 1928 to the late Walter Francis and Eva Louise Ingraham.

She is preceded in death by her husband, George Henry Guffey, Sr; daughter, Cynthia Rae Evans; and grandson, Mark William Evans, Jr.

She is survived by her children, George Henry (Doris) Guffey, Jr. of Mesick, MI, Debra Kay (Richard) Caine of Greenville, SC, Nancy Jo (Michael) Gilfillan of Milton, GA; son-in-law, Mark William Evans, Sr. of West Union, SC; grandchildren, Grant Guffey, Garrett (Sarah) Guffey, Kathleen (Kipp) Woods, RaeAnn McIntyre, Charlotte Evans, Calvin Gilfillan, Audrey Gilfillan and Garrett Gilfillan; six great grandchildren, and many other relatives.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at the McDonald and Son Funeral Home Chapel, Cumming, GA.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service.
