Denver H. Harris, 64, of Dawsonville passed away Monday March 30, 2015 at Emory University Hospital following a short illness.
Born February 3, 1951 to the late Buster and Annie Laura "Ann" Harris, he lived most of his life in Dawson County. A graduate of Dawson County High School, he earned a degree in Automotive Technology from Lanier Tech. Denver worked as an automobile mechanic after which he did racing engine assembly for Ernie Elliott, Inc. for 30 years. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Owen Harris.
Surviving are his wife of 39 years, Gale Harris, Dawsonville; brother and sister in law, Morris and Judy Harris, Dawsonville; sister and brother in law, Elaine and Winston Jenkins, Flowery Branch; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday April 1, 2015 at 2 o'clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. John Huff will officiate. Interment will follow in the Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4 until 8 at the funeral home.
