John Kelsey Orr

John Kelsey Orr, age 72 of Gainesville, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2015 at his residence following an extended illness.


Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at 4:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Boone Strickland will officiate. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 from 5 - 8 pm and Wednesday, April 1, 2015 from 1 - 3 pm, prior to the service, at the funeral home.


Mr. Orr was born June 1, 1942 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Kelsey Orr and Eva Strickland Orr. He was a Disabled Veteran and was of the Baptist Faith.


Mr. Orr is survived by his wife, Marie Orr of Gainesville, daughters & sons-in-law, Rhonda & Jeff Howington of Jefferson, Kim & Eric Wall of Statham and Heather & Shawn Migliore of Gainesville, daughter, Sheila Skinner of Jefferson, sons & daughters-in-law, John & Teresa Orr of Gainesville and Johnny & Norma Garner of Oakwood, 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, sisters & brothers-in-law, Janice & Richard Lockhart of Maysville, Linda & Donnie Evans of Dawsonville and Susie & Eddie Brown of Florida, sisters, Joyce Grindle of Commerce, Brenda Orr of Gainesville and Judy Free of Gainesville, brothers, Ray Orr of Gainesville and Ronnie Orr of Gainesville, brothers & sisters-in-law, Lonnie & Mary Orr of Flowery Branch and Kelvin & Sara Orr of Gainesville and a number of nieces & nephews.
