Denton Elliott Hudson

Denton Elliott Hudson, 73, of Washington, Georgia, passed away March 28, 2015 at his home. D. E. Hudson was born August 4, 1941, in Locust Fork, Alabama, to O.D. and Elsie Hudson. His lifetime of work and accomplishments cannot be described in merely a few words. He spent his life serving others in many different roles, running several small businesses, and enjoying all of his farms through the years, in Alpharetta, Cumming, and Washington, GA. He graduated from Sandy Springs High School in 1960, soon becoming a Journeyman Wireman and member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), Local 613 in Atlanta, GA.
His interest in service to others began with volunteering at the local Chattahoochee fire station, in Alpharetta. Later he became Chief of the Volunteers, which led to paid employment with the Fulton County Fire department. He served 23 years as a Captain for the Fulton County fire department, while also engaging with the Fulton County Police Department as a Special Deputy. He retired in 1991 from the fire department, moved to Forsyth County, and continued volunteering as a Deputy Sheriff for the Forsyth County Sheriff's Department. There, he managed inmate work details and projects, hauled state and federal prisoners, and augmented patrol duty when needed.
Hudson owned and operated many different small businesses throughout his lifetime. Some of which include, Hudson Firearms
