Sarah Nell Fountain Reed

Sarah Nell Fountain Reed, 81, of Gillsville went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Northside Hospital following a brief illness.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Earl Jarrard and Reverend Tim Reed will officiate. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 from 6-8 p.m.

Mrs. Reed was born on May 15, 1934 in Gainesville to the late, Cecil and Julia Davis Fountain. She was a homemaker. She was saved at Emmanuel Baptist Church at twelve years old and has attended Macedonia Baptist Church since 1984 where she was a member. She was known by her grandchildren as Nana where she also helped raise Rheanna and Amber.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Billy H. Reed; brother, Richard Fountain; son, Tony Reed; granddaughter, Jennifer Reed.

Mrs. Reed is survived by his son, Stan Reed of Gaineville; son and daughter-in-law, James "Rusty" and Susan Reed of Gillsville; granddaughters, Rheanna and Amber Reed; grandsons, Brandon Reed and Austin Kidd; 7 great grandchildren.
