Josephine Thornton Ramsey

Josephine Thornton Ramsey, age 69, of Buford, GA passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband of forty-five years, Eddie Fred Ramsey. She is survived by her children, Rhonda Ramsey, Buford, GA, Eddie Dewayne Ramsey, Buford, GA, Eddie Fred, Jr. and Mozella Ramsey, Gainesville, GA, and Mardean Strickland, Savannah, GA; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Eula Mae Brooks, Buford, GA, and Dianne Cunningham, Buford, GA; aunt, Dorothy Cook, Buford, GA; brother-in-law, James Ramsey, Buford, GA, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Ramsey was born July 15, 1945 in Buford, GA. She received her education in the Buford City school system. She was retired from Stouffers PineIsle Hotel at Lake Lanier after fifteen years of service. She was a member of Union Baptist Church, Buford, GA and a member of the Senior Choir. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Pastor Betty Sue Earls officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery, Buford, GA. A wake is scheduled for Friday, March 27, 2015 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
