Grace Rachel Millwood Lancaster

Grace Rachel Millwood Lancaster, 91, of Flowery Branch passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at her residence following an extended illness.


Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 27, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Sam Parsons and Reverend Mike Taylor will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 26, 2015 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.


Mrs. Lancaster was born on August 5, 1923 in Forsyth County to the late James Hershel and Callie McKinney Millwood. She was a homemaker and a member of Blackshear Place Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas Floyd Lancaster; daughter-in-law, Betty Lancaster and 10 brothers and sisters.


Mrs. Lancaster is survived by her daughter, Joyce Lancaster of Flowery Branch; son and daughter-in-law, Cary and Lorraine Lancaster of Talmo; son, Donald Lancaster of Gainesville; grandson and wife Shane and Valerie Lancaster of Winder; granddaughter, Lisa Mooney of Cumming; great grandchildren, Alisha, Madison and Matthew Mooney and Rachel Lancaster; sister, Dorothy Cannon of Flowery Branch; brother and sister-in-law, Juan and Nadine Millwood of Pendergrass.
