Barbara Sue Grizzle

Barbara Sue Grizzle, age 77, of Dahlonega, GA passed away Thursday, March 19, 2015.

She was born and raised in Suches, GA where she graduated from Woody Gap High School, and spent most of her adult life in Lumpkin County. She retired after 36 years of service from the Burlington Industries Pine Tree plant in Dahlonega, and was a member of Harmony Church of God in Suches, GA.

Barbara was the daughter of the late Ben and Alice Harkins, and was also preceded in death by her son, James Allen Grizzle; sisters, Grace Brewer and Venola Tow; nephew, Tony Harkins.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Junior Grizzle, Dahlonega, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, J.W. and Bertha Harkins, Rezin and Leona Harkins, Suches, GA; sister/niece, Gale Smith; nieces, Teresa Cantrell, Linda Adams, and Patricia Welch, all of Dahlonega, GA; nephew, Bobby Brewer, Roswell, GA; great nieces, Elisha Santiago, Jennifer Hogan, Brooke Gillespie, Alisha Delozier, Tonya Christy, Melissa Harkins; great nephews, Jay Askea, Cody Wymer, Brian Adams; mother-in-law, Beatrice Grizzle; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Kim and Lisa Grizzle, Dennis and Ann Grizzle, and Shirley and Dewey Wright, all of Dahlonega, GA.

Funeral services for Barbara are scheduled for 2 PM Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Macedonia Baptist Church in Lumpkin County.

Rev. Phill Miller and Rev. Bobby Brewer will officiate.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega from 4 PM until 9 PM Friday, March 20, 2015, and again from 9 AM until service time on Saturday, March 21, 2015.
