Donald L. Sapp

Donald L. Sapp, age 85, of Gainesville, GA passed away on Monday, March 16, 2015. He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-five years, Jackie Weaver Sapp. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Terry Sapp, Gainesville, GA, John and Sheila Sapp, Gainesville, GA, and Keith Sapp, Tucker, GA; seven grandchildren, Robert Irwin, Gainesville, GA, Lindsey Sapp, Los Angeles, CA, Kiersten Sapp, Gainesville, GA, Jessica Sapp, Gainesville, GA, Brooke Sapp, Gainesville, GA, Jordan Sapp, Woodstock, GA, and Courtney Sapp, Woodstock, GA; three great grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Al Davis, Lake Bruin, LA; sister-in-law, Joan Sapp, Jemison, AL; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Sapp was born February 14, 1930 in Thomasville, GA. He was a 1949 graduate of West End High School in Birmingham, AL and graduated from Auburn University in 1956 with a Bachelor's Degree. He was a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps, having served in the Korean War. He was retired from General Services Administration in building management and he attended St. Paul United Methodist Church in Gainesville, GA. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 3:30 p.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 404 Washington Street NW, Gainesville, GA 30501 with Rev. Calvin Haney officiating. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall following the service.
