George Edward Cash

Funeral services for George Edward Cash, age 87, of Clarkesville will be held at 7:00 PM, Tuesday, March 17, 2015 from Bethlehem Baptist Church. Rev. Tommy Stowe and Rev. Malcolm Cash will officiate.

Mr. Cash died Saturday, March 14, 2015 at his residence.

Born in Akron, Ohio on April 6, 1927, Mr. Cash was the son of the late William A. and Cora Mae Edwards Cash. He was a United States Navy Veteran having served during World War II in the Pacific and was also a steelworker in Ohio. Mr. Cash also was an avid woodworker specializing in cabinetry and custom furniture. Mr. Cash was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Clarkesville. In addition to his parents, Mr. Cash was preceded in death by brothers Bill Cash, Ralph Cash and Roger Cash.

Survivors include his wife Lillian Houser Cash of Clarkesville, daughters Trish Cash Miller of Clarkesville and Deborah Cash Rice (Mark) of Woodstock, sons Edward (Wendy) Cash of Nashville, Tennessee, Randyll Mark Cash (Debra) of San Francisco, California, and Kenneth Cash (Karen) of Clarkesville, brother Malcolm Cash of Suwanee and sisters Joyce Eddy of Clarkesville and Joni Day of Turnerville, as well as12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
