Betty Sue Nix

Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mrs. Betty Sue Nix, age 82 of Cleveland. Mrs Nix passed away Sunday, March 15, 2015.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00pm, Tuesday, March 17, 2015 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Garry Hefner. Interment will follow in Gateway Memory Park with Rev. Dennis Roberts officiating.

Sue was born in White County on January 31, 1933 to the late William Cornell and Martha
Allison Cornell ,she graduated from Nacoochee High School and retired from Talon with
45 years service. Sue will be remembered for her kind and gentle spirit as well her love for
her family and compassion for those she met along the way.

She is preceded in death by her
husband, Jimmy Nix, sisters, Doris Ruth Cathey, Florence Sims and husband Jack Sims as
well as Charlotte Turner and brother Larry Cornell and wife Darlene Cornell
Survivors include her son and daughter in law, Butch and Sue Nix of Cleveland;
granddaughter and husband, April and Mike O'Neal of Cleveland, great
grandchildren,Cody O'Neal, Addison O'Neal and Slade O'Neal ; brothers Dan Cornell
(Sandra) of Gainesville, Glenn Cornell(Jenny Sue) of Dacula; sister, Evelyn Binsz (Derrell)
of Winterville; brother in laws, Ross Cathey and Arthur Turner.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 2 to 4 pm and again from 6 to 8pm. Flowers will be acknowledged or memorial donations may be made to Zion Interdenominational Church, 3667 Hwy 115 East, Cleveland, Georgia 30528.
