George C. (Pat) Patterson

Memorial services will be held Saturday March 21, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church for Mr. George C. ''Pat" Patterson, 87, of Gainesville. The Rev. Calvin Haney will officiate. The family will receive friends from 12 noon to 1 p.m. at the church. Mr. Patterson passed away, March 12, 2015.

Mr. Patterson was born and raised in Gainesville, Ga. He graduated from Lyman Hall in 1946 and served in the U.S. Army and played trumpet in the band. He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents George Patterson and Mardell Patterson and daughter-in-law, Gloria Patterson.

Survivors include, Wife of 66 years Frances Eberhardt Patterson, Son and Daughter-in-Law Tommy & Lillie Patterson, Foley, Alabama, Daughter, Marsha Knight, Gainesville, GA, Daughter and Son-in-Law, Celeste & Drew Sayre, Gainesville, GA, 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, Sister-in-Law, Charlotte Eberhardt Banks, childhood friends, Buck and Wilda Cooper, and several cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.

In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to St. Paul UMC, Redwine UMC, The American Cancer Society or Hospice of Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
