Betty Jean London Fortner

Betty Jean London Fortner, age 46, of Cleveland, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2015.
Born on November 6, 1968, in Buncam County, North Carolina, she was the daughter of Ronnie and Eloise Baker London of Cleveland. Mrs. Fortner was a homemaker and a member of New Bridge Baptist Church of Cleveland. She enjoyed milking cows, gardening, singing, cooking, reading her Bible and most of all, being a mother. As the pastor's wife of White Creek Baptist Church, she enjoyed working with the teenage class, and she was also previously a Sunday School teacher. Mrs. Fortner was a selfless person who had a heart to serve.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Louise Cantrell Baker.
In addition to her parents, surviving are her husband, Pastor Lewis Fortner of Cleveland; daughters, Elizabeth, Allison and Rebecca Fortner all of Cleveland; maternal grandfather and spouse, Buford and Roberta Baker of Cleveland; paternal grandparents, Rev. Verner and Katherine Humphries London of Cleveland; brothers, William London of Atlanta and Jessie Powers of Toccoa; sister, Rachel Sims of North Palm Beach, Florida; father and mother-in-law, Rev. George and Judith Cantrell Fortner of Sautee; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other family and friends.
Funeral services are 1 pm on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at New Bridge Baptist Church with Rev. W.A. "Dub" Jenkins and Rev. Phillip Robinson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2-8 pm on Friday at the funeral home.
