Ernestine (Teeney) Herrington Beard

Ernestine ("Teeney") Herrington Beard, age 86, of Buford, GA passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-nine years, Rev. Gaylon A. Beard; son, Tony Beard; and parents, Ernest (Brandy) and Velma Herrington. Her life was devoted to her family. She is survived by her children, Gayle and David Gower, Robin and Katie Beard, and Tim Beard; grandchildren, Chris and Cindy Beard, Chad Beard, Matt Gower, Adam and Megan Gower, and Katie and Ryan Potts; great grandchildren, Ashton and Nick Thomas, Lexie Christopher, Ryan Beard, Christian and Hayden Gower, Kaleb and Kohen Gower, and Annabelle Potts; sister-in-law, Pat Adams; brother-in-law, Bonnie Martin; special niece, Jackie Humphrey; and beloved pet, Berney. Mrs. Beard was born January 27, 1929 in Buford, GA. She was a graduate of Buford High School and a member of Buford First United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 13, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Alan Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens, Buford, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, March 12, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
