June Young

June Young, 79, of Dawsonville passed away Sunday March 8, 2015 at Northside Forsyth Hospital following a period of declining health.

Born August 6, 1935 in Dawson County to the late Elmer and Juanita Wigington, she lived a number of years in Pickens County before returning to Dawson County. Mrs. Young was former home builder and later she spent over 15 years as a caregiver. She was a member of Sweetwater Baptist Church and was also preceded in death by her husband, W. T. "Pete" Young; children, Kevin Phillips, Carolyn Joan Phillips; brothers, Larry Wigington, Jimmy Wigington, and Don Wigington.

Surviving are her children, Danny Phillips, Lexington, KY, Rickey and Elaine Phillips, Gainesville, Dwight Phillips, Buford; sisters, Mary Sue Lisenby, Dawsonville, Gail Pearce, Dahlonega; eight grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday March 11, 2015 at 2 o'clock at Sweetwater Baptist Church. Rev. Mark Flowers, Rev. Mike Gaines, and Rev. Randall Woody will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12:30 until 8 at the funeral home.
