Charles Ernest Rudeseal

Charles Ernest Rudeseal, age 86, of Alto, Georgia, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2015.

Mr. Rudeseal was born January 27, 1929 in Habersham County, Georgia to the late Luther Vance and Katie Recie Ivie Rudeseal. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Pittman Rudeseal; brothers, Fred Rudeseal and Percival Rudeseal. Mr. Rudeseal was of the Baptist faith. He was a retired United States Navy Veteran with 26 years of service, having served during the Korean Conflict, Vietnam and The Cuban Crisis. Mr. Rudeseal was a life member of Grant Reeves VFW Post #7720. He loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting and gardening.

He is survived by his daughter, Cynthia Pierson, Panama City, FL; sons, Jon Rudeseal, Hampton, GA, Elton Rudeseal, Alto, GA, Lynn Rudeseal, Alto, GA, Bret Rudeseal, Locust Grove, GA; brother, Leman Rudeseal, Atlanta, GA; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 am Monday, March 9, 2015, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, with Rev. Roy Rogers officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by the United States Navy, Grant Reeves VFW Post #7720, the Habersham County American Legion Post #84, and the Rabun County DAV Chapter #15.

The family will receive friends from 4-6 pm on Sunday, March 8, 2015 at the funeral home.
