Larry J. Chambers

Larry J. Chambers, age 72, of Cumming, died on Thursday, March 5, 2015, after a long battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Maude and Robert Chambers, brother, Jerry Chambers, sister, Diane Sears, brother-in-law, Roy Pruitt, nephew Skipper Crow, brother-in-law Billy Smith, brother-in-law Bob Neyendorf, and sister-in-law, Jan Singletary.

Larry was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He especially loved children and always would take care of them. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Larry retired from General Motors.

Larry is survived by his wife of 48 years, Linda Chambers, sons Larry (Laura) Chambers of Jasper, GA; Edward Chambers of Cumming, GA. Grandchildren, Matthew and Kassy Chambers of Dawsonville, GA., Kristen and Casey White of Cumming, GA, Hayden Love of Jasper, GA, Kaitlyn Love of Jasper, GA.; sisters, Jan Smith of Cumming, GA., Edith and Bill Bullock and Sue Neyendorf, all of Fort Walton Beach, FL. Brother-in-law, Henry Singletary of Norcross, sisters-in-law, Jackie and Curtis Mobley of Columbia, SC; Retha and Richard Garner, Covington, GA; Clara Harbin, Cumming, GA; Martha and Charles Mobley, Ball Ground, GA.; brother-in-law Loy and Shirley Pruitt, Cumming, GA; Tony and Cyndi Pruitt, Cumming, GA; Michael Pruitt, Gainesville, Ga. A special niece, Penny Dutton, who helped care for Larry; many, many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 7th, at 11:00 AM, at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dusty Holtzclaw and Rev. Vernie Worley officiating. The interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM., and Saturday from 9:00 AM until the hour of service.
