Carolyn Jarrard

Carolyn Jarrard, 77, of Dawsonville passed away Tuesday March 3, 2015 at her residence following a period of declining health.

Born July 23, 1937 in Portland, Oregon to the late Ben Burgin and Helen Hooper, she had lived in Dawson County since 1980 having moved from Cobb County. Mrs. Jarrard was formerly employed as an accounting clerk at Aaron Rents, formerly worked in the office of Clerk of Superior Court in Dawson County and was also employed by Big Canoe.

Surviving are her husband of 38 years, Ken Jarrard, Dawsonville; children, Ronald Dudley, Cobb Co., Joseph Dudley, Alabama, Becky Whitfield, Austell, Kenneth Jarrard, Jasper, Keith Jarrard, Dawsonville; sister, Jarilyn of Oregon, brother, Terrence of California; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday March 5, 2015 at 1 o'clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Roland Nelson will officiate. Interment will follow in the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Lumpkin County.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4 until 8 at the funeral home.
