Bill C. Jones

Mr. Bill C. Jones, 72 of Gainesville died Friday February 27, 2015 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

A lifelong resident of Hall County, Mr. Jones was the son of the late Dewitt and Maude Dougherty Jones. He was retired from A & P Food Stores with over 45 years of service as market manager. Mr. Jones was a member of the Sardis Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Jane Jones; son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Melinda Jones; grandchildren, Katie Jones; Meleah and Andrew Adamson; great grandchildren, Laynee Adamson and David Reece Adamson, all of Gainesville; brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Kasi Jones, Dahlonega; sisters and brothers-in-law, Brenda and Larry Allison, Gainesville; Lois and Lane Lee, Clermont; sister-in-law, Martha Gilmer, Gainesville. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Mr. Jones is preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, David C. Jones.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday March 1, 2015 in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. Rev. Chris Ellis and Pastor Stanley Peck will officiate. Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday February 28, 2014 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.
