Mary Sue Love Pethel

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Mary Sue Love Pethel, age 71 of Pendergrass, Georgia who entered into rest Friday, February 27, 2015. Mrs. Pethel was born in Pendergrass, Georgia the daughter of the late Ernest Lamar Love and the late Mary Roberta Underwood Love, was a member of Pendergrass Baptist Church and was a homemaker and seamstress. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Pethel is preceded by a son, Larry Joe Pethel, Jr., and a brother, David Lamar Love.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Larry Joe Pethel of Pendergrass, daughter; Teresa Sue Hawkins of Panama City Beach, Florida. Three sisters; Jennie Hoopaugh, Evalene Major and Judy Watson all of Pendergrass, Georgia. Five brothers; Jack Love and Jim Love of Pendergrass, Jerry Love of Talmo, Mike Love of Maysville, and Stanley Love of Gainesville. Three grandchildren; Rose Pethel Odom, Katie Sasser and Joseph Hawkins. Three great grandchildren; Addie Kate Odom, Kaylee Rose Sasser, and Braxton Sasser.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, March 1, 2015 from the Pendergrass Baptist Church with Reverend Eric Shelton and Reverend Robert Whitehead officiating with burial to follow in the Pendergrass Baptist Church Cemetery. Gentlemen honored as pallbearers are Jerry Love, Stanley Love, Jack Love, Mike Love, Jim Love, Kasey Odom, Joseph Hawkins and Brad Sasser.
