Mellie Evelyn Mangum

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Sunday March 1, 2015 at Ward's Funeral Home Chapel for Mellie Evelyn Mangum, age 80 of Gainesville. The Rev. Peggy Wages will officiate. Interment will follow at Alta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday February 28 at the funeral home. Mrs. Mangum passed away Friday February 27, 2015.

Mrs. Mangum was born in Banks County to the late Hollis Edgar Butler and Nannie Maude Hopper Butler. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Mangum and sons, Eddie Dale and Gene Dale.

Survivors include Sisters, Dorothy Tollison, Simpsonville, SC, Wanda Taylor, Gainesville, Ann Wick, Gainesville, Daughter-in-Law, Lois Ashley, Gainesville, Special Nephew, Tony Prater, Gainesville, 2 Grandchildren, 4 Great-Grandchildren, 1 Great-Great Grandchild and a number of other nieces and nephews.
