Kathy Smith

Kathy N. Smith, 40 of Clarkesville, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2015.

Born in Stephens County on July 24, 1974, she was a daughter of Richard and Anita Smith Ferguson of Demorest. Kathy was an office manager at Dr. Ken Weldon's Dentist office in Clarkesville and attended The Torch Worship Center. She was a loving and devoted mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend. In her spare time, she enjoyed hiking and working out.




She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Virrie Smith; aunt, Geraldine Burrell; and her significant other, Steve Singleton.




In addition to her mother, surviving are daughters, McKenna Giaquinta of Clarkesville and Kali Giaquinta of Oakwood; sister and brother-in-law, Ginny & Richie Thibeault of Clarkesville; nephews, Kolton and Sylas Thibeault; maternal grandfather, Ray L. Smith of Demorest; McKenna's boyfriend, Austin Mastrilli of Alto; aunts, Rita Holcomb (Bill Million) of Demorest, Rhonda (Gary) Sutton of the Batesville Community, Betty Jean (Bill) Black of Dahlonega, Shirley (Lamar) Shook of Cornelia, Christine Loudermilk of Cornelia, Martha (Eddie) Autry of Cleveland; uncles, Tim Smith (April Truelove) of Lakemont, Herman Burrell of Clarkesville, and Randy Ferguson of Cleveland.




A Celebration of Kathy's Life will be held 5:00 pm Saturday, February 28, 2015, at The Torch Worship Center. A private interment will be held Sunday.




The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4-8 pm Friday.
