Thelma Irene Drake Daniel

Thelma Irene Drake Daniel, 75 of Colbert, GA passed away peacefully Monday, February 23, 2015.




Born and raised in Colbert, Ms. Daniel was the daughter of the late Guy T. and Helen Drake, and was preceded in death by her loving husband, Cecil T. Daniel; a son, Dennis Daniel, great grandson, Hayden Daniel; and brothers, Guy Jr., Jimmy, Clarence, Darrell and Henry Drake. Ms. Daniel was a faithful member of Colbert United Methodist Church, where she taught Kids for Christ.




Survivors include her sons, Curtis and Wendy Daniel, Kenneth and Susan Daniel; grandchildren, Jessie, Kellie, Kendall, Kyle, Kayla, Lacie, Betsy, Craig and Tyler; great grandchildren, Weston, Breeze and Lola; and sister-in-law, Rachel Drake.




Funeral Service will be 11 am Thursday, Feb. 26 at Colbert United Methodist Church with the Rev's. Hugh Hendrickson and Jim Haralson officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 10:30. Burial will follow in Kidd Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Roger Suddeth, Mitchell Meadow, Jerry Fortson, Jimmy Bates, Kyle Daniel and Jack Scaffe. The family will receive friends Wed. Feb. 25 from 6-8 pm at Ivie Funeral Home, Danielsville.
