Rob Heath, age 59, of Dawsonville, passed away February 21, 2015 at his residence, after a brief, but headstrong, battle with cancer.
Born April 15, 1955 in Dallas, Texas, Rob moved to Georgia in 1962, where he later attended the Atlanta College of Art.
Rob moved to the North Georgia area in the 70's, and was the owner of Blue Ridge Glassworks, which opened in Gainesville in 1978. He later moved his business to the Dawsonville area. Rob's talent has been enjoyed by many, as his work with custom art glass, has enhanced hundreds of homes, churches and commercial buildings, in Gainesville, and surrounding areas.
He was preceded in death, by his parents; Robert and Leila Heath.
Survivors include, his wife of 16 years, Sandy Jackson Heath, Dawsonville; Daughter, Charli Heath, Cumming; Sister, Marilyn Heath, Gainesville; Nephews, Josh and Ethan Holt, Gainesville; Niece, Summer Holt, Atlanta; and many, many close friends and relatives.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 1, 2015 in the Chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. Rev. Roe Callaway will officiate. The family will receive friends on Sunday at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour.
