Patricia Louise Harkins Abercrombie

Mrs. Patricia Louise Harkins Abercrombie, age 71, of Dahlonega, GA passed away Monday February 16, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Patricia was a White County, GA native who lived most of her life in Lumpkin County. She was a dedicated member of Mount Olive Baptist Church in Lumpkin County. She loved cooking and working in her flower garden. She especially loved her family. She was a friend to all who knew her. She never met a stranger.

Patricia was the daughter of the late George and Mary Lee Miller Harkins and was also preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Y.D. Abercrombie; two sons, Jackie Abercrombie and Andy Abercrombie; brothers, Freddy, Donald, Buck, Mac, and Jay Harkins.

She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Jennifer Abercrombie, Dahlonega, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Loretta and Marc Gallimore, Dahlonega, GA; brothers and sister-in-law, Mickey and Shelia Harkins, and Kenny Harkins, all of Dahlonega, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sabara and Terry McIntyre, Cleveland, GA, Margie and Roger Flanagan, Dahlonega, GA, Sue Goff, Jackson, GA, and Sheila Clore, McCaysville, GA; grandchildren, Doug Abercrombie, Jordan Smith, Skye Gallimore, Taylor Chancey, Anthony Gallimore, Jacob, Tyler, and Jared Abercrombie. Numerous other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Patricia are scheduled for 2 PM Thursday February 19, 2015 at the Mount Olive Baptist Church in Lumpkin County.

Rev. Lyman Caldwell, Rev. Charles Buice, and Rev. Darren Palmer will officiate.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega on Wednesday February 18, 2015 from 4 PM until 8 PM and again on Thursday from 10 AM until service time.
