Beverly Joan Link Moore

Beverly Joan Link Moore, 77, of Buford, GA died on February 13, 2015. Born in Niles, OH she was the daughter of the late Buhel and Dorothea Link.

Beverly earned her BA and MA from Georgia State University and her Specialist degree from Brenau. She thrived and enjoyed her life as a teacher (in Gwinnett County) - striving to instill a desire among hundreds of students to achieve great things and be all they could be.

She was social media savvy, had a spectacular singing voice and had a special outfit for every occasion. Her Shih Tzu, Holly, bore an uncanny resemblance to a well fed Portuguese Pig - and sported a red bow and pet carrier. "Mimi" loved her grandchildren and her three new great grand babies - lighting up when any of the "crumb snatchers" were around.

Beverly loved to travel, reveled in holidays was an educator, flamboyant decorator, loving grandmother and great grandmother - and we are proud to say we are her sons.

She is survived by her sons, Joseph H. (Lori) Moore, Jr. of Cumming, GA and Thomas C. (Carolyn) Moore of Cumming, GA; grandchildren, Amanda (Joey) Thiessen, Alex (Ciara) Moore and Andrew Moore, Krystin (Steve) Pierce, Candace Moore; great-grandchildren, Georgia, Scarlett and Noah; siblings, Carol Boone, Akron, OH and Rex Link, Ft. Myers, FL; and a loving extended family.

A celebration of Beverly's life will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, February 19, 2015 in the chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sawnee Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 18 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
